Seems that everyone in the know thinks that Apple’s brightest days are behind it. One such person that thinks this is none other than Oracle CEO Larry Ellison. He was a close personal friend of Steve Jobs. Therefore, his views might be a little bias. That said, I have to say I agree with him unless Apple can come up with a new product fast.  Larry Ellison shared his thoughts with the world on the long running Charlie Rose on CBS. Ellison said “Well, we already know. We saw. We conducted the experiment. I mean, it’s been done. We saw Apple with Steve Jobs. We saw Apple without Steve Jobs. We saw Apple with Steve Jobs. Now, we’re gonna see Apple without Steve Jobs.”

He does make a great point. Apple without Jobs was almost as bad as Blackberry is now. What Ellison is referring to the days when Apple was not even in the mobile phone conversation. Apple’s was so close to the end that it almost hit bankruptcy when it got rid Steve Jobs.  Apple brought back Steve Jobs back in 1996 and now is top of the world.  Ellison said that now we will see history repeat itself. He might be right. The Ellison interview is right below.
