I had a one point a very big comic book collection but some how through the process of growing I lost track of their location. Michael Thomasson however did a better job of keeping track of his collection. He now has a massive video game collection. His collection is so massive in fact it has earned him the Guinness Book World Records 2014 Gamer’s Edition for having the largest video game collection in the world.

Michael Thomasson became  game collector at the early age of 12. It all started with a game as a Christmas gift. The game he got was for the Colecovision. This is not the first time that Thomasson old off his collection. He once sold his collection to buy a Sega Genesis and again to help pay for his wedding. Guys should bring this up next time your girl tells you to stop playing video games.

Michael Thomasson now has over 11,000 games. The Guinness folks has already stopped by to verify that he in fact has more games than everyone on earth. They also say his collection is worth between $700,000 and $800,000. Michael Thomasson said that he only spends $3,000 a year. Why is he selling all his games? He said that as an adult family man he just does not have the time to keep up with it.
