ipad vs galaxy tab

Samsung’s 7-inch tablet called the Galaxy Tab could have what it takes to give iPad a real fight in the tablet market.

It runs on a Cortex A8 1.0GHz processor, has a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, a 3 megapixel rear-facing camera and supports HD playback. It comes in a 16 GB and 32 GB version. If you need more space you can expand it up to 32 GB with the use of a microSD. The Galaxy Tab will support 3G but not for calls?

The Galaxy Tab runs Android 2.2 Froyo operating system even though Google has said it is not meant for tablets. It is lighter than the iPad and supports Flash Player 10.1. Flash is still something that the iPad can’t do well unless Jailbroken and running Frash. Almost all apps in the Android Market will work for the Galaxy Tab so says Samsung anyway.

Every consumer electronics company seems to be working on a tablet of its own. Dell launched the Streak. If you never heard of it don’t worry it was not news worthy, trust me. RIM the makers of BlackBerry and HP are also working on tablets.

There is a lot of catch up to do for Samsung and other companies out there. Since it’s release Apple has sold more than 3 million iPads.
