During Nintendo’s GDC 2011 keynote speech today that happened to be going on at the same time as the Apple Event, they let us know that the North American 3DS will be capable of playing Netflix’s streaming video service.
Netflix plays on just about everything already. They are on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii. That covers every console. They are on every PC except the Google CR-48 🙁 , iDevice, phones, many Blu-ray players and TV’s. The Nintendo 3DS is just one more device to go to. Don’t forget that there is the six-device limit.
Nintendo’s 3DS is due to come out March 27 in North America. The streaming video service will allow players to view high quality television shows and movies using the 3DS’ higher-resolution top screen.
